چکیده
The dissolution of nano-sized Ni3Al-based γ′ precipitates was investigated in the newly developed polycrystalline nickel-based VDM® Alloy 780 at surface and bulk region with in-situ lab-source synchrotron X-ray diffraction. These studies are important obtaining a deeper understanding strengthening mechanism responsible for stability long service lives such superalloys. We found that behavior phase is very similar region, but small deviations were detected. starts around 800 °C no temperatures exceeding 970 °C. As result, elements Al Nb, which bound phase, dissolved into γ matrix strongly increased lattice parameter, as their atomic size larger than γ-forming Ni, Co, Cr. However, this effect suppressed area. A second detected same temperature range XRD measurements. formed γ-2 had smaller parameter initial matrix. propose result high-temperature oxidation, consumes, among other elements, Nb and, therefore, leads to parameter.

Deformation in Metallic Glasses Studied by Synchrotron X-Ray Diffraction
High mechanical strength is one of the superior properties of metallic glasses which render them promising as a structural material. However, understanding the process of mechanical deformation in strongly disordered matter, such as metallic glass, is exceedingly difficult because even an effort to describe the structure qualitatively is hampered by the absence of crystalline periodicity. In sp...

متن کاملEVALUATION OFDISLOCATION STRUCTURE AND CRYSTALLITE SIZE IN WORN AL-SI ALLOY BY X-RAY DIFFRACTION
Abstract: powerful method for the characterization of microstructures of crystalline materials in terms of crystallite size anddislocation structures. In this paper the effect of the sliding on the microstructure of A356 in the as-cast and heattreated conditions are studied, The X-ray phase analysis shows that with increasing applied load, the dislocationdensity is increased, whereas the crysta...
متن کاملReaction of CuO with hydrogen studied by using synchrotron-based x-ray diffraction
CuO and Cu2O powders were reacted by hydrogen to study the reduction mechanism and the ionic states of Cu (Cu2+, Cu and Cu). The reduction behaviour and the existence of an intermediate state were investigated by using synchrotron-based high-resolution in situ x-ray diffraction (S-XRD) techniques. The results revealed that CuO directly reduces to metallic Cu (Cu → Cu), under a normal flow of hy...
متن کاملIn situ synchrotron X-ray diffraction analysis of deformation behaviour in Ti-Ni-based thin films.
Deformation mechanisms of as-deposited and post-annealed Ti50.2Ni49.6, Ti50.3Ni46.2Cu3.5 and Ti48.5Ni40.8Cu7.5 thin films were investigated using the in situ synchrotron X-ray diffraction technique. Results showed that initial crystalline phases determined the deformation mechanisms of all the films during tensile loading. For the films dominated by monoclinic martensites (B19'), tensile stress...
